Moscow Mules

Vitamin, invigorating and intoxicating – even the “Moscow Mule” cocktail can be prepared according to the principles of the keto diet. You’re welcome!

The Moscow Mule cocktail has solidified the position of Russian vodka in American bar culture, and we will give it a new reading – without sugar. For this recipe, we need a homemade ginger beer. It’s great if you can find a copper cocktail mug – it keeps the drink better cold.

Ingredients

  • 100 ml vodka
  • 300 ml ginger beer
  • 20 g ginger
  • 60 g lime
  • 12 cubes ice

Instructions

  • Chill a mug in the freezer for a few minutes. Ideally, it should be a copper mug, but a glass with thick walls will also do.
  • Place a slice of ginger in the bottom of the mug and pestle it with a pestle to make it juice. Add the ice – just ice cubes are fine, but if you crush it into crumbs, we have a slightly more festive version.
  • Cut a slice of lime and set it aside for decoration. Squeeze the lime juice into a glass, add the vodka, and top with ginger beer. Stir the drink and garnish with a lime slice.
